The abrasive is actually only mechanically embedded in the coated metal, so the holding force is small, and the diamond particle load is heavy and easy to fall off during efficient grinding. In order to increase the holding force, the thickness of the coating must be increased. As a result, the exposed height of abrasive grains reduces the chip tolerance space, the grinding wheel is prone to blockage, the heat dissipation effect is poor, and the workpiece surface is prone to burns. The domestic electroplated grinding wheel manufacturing has not yet realized the optimal design of the grinding wheel according to the requirements of the processing conditions. The inherent disadvantages of the single-layer electroplated diamond grinding wheel will inevitably greatly limit its efficient grinding application.
