It specified the whole measurement of the brush, whereas I needed the measurement (length and width) of the bristles for my purpose. I also needed a "softer" one for my pots and pans and this particular brush (carbon steel) may be used primarily for cars, rusty iron (not sure) items. The company very generously have me keep it instead of returning the brush, which my husband promptly kept for his car.
