◆ Made of aluminum oxide, with 40 60 80 100 120 grits and four sizes (4 inch, 4.5 inch, 5 inch, 7 inch) to choose from. It belongs to # 29 type. The hole diameter varies from 16mm to 22.2mm.

What are the different application between Type 27 and Type 29 flap discs?

Both types belong to standard flap discs. Type 27 Flat flap discs are the best choice for finishing while Type 29 conical flap discs are ideal for speed and stock removal. It’s recommended that flat shape discs are applied to blending and finishing flat surfaces with 60 grit abrasives or finer. The conical type features 15° to 25° angled flaps which increases surface contact with the work piece so is suitable for aggressively grinding contours and edges

What are the advantages of flap discs over traditional flat discs?
